Authentic Community:  

God is a happy person precisely because God lives in complete harmony and community within His triune Self.  We avow that God creagtes and redeems for the purpose of authentic, joyful community.  For this reason we dream of a community where authenticity with God and each other before teh world is the happiest way to live.  It is for this reason we dream of Authentic Community.

 

 

Genesis: 

 

 We affirm the essential, historical Orthodox truths of the Christian faith. We see ourselves as part of the story of a relationship between God and humans that involves people from every generation, all lands, including all ethnicities, excluding no languages. The bible working with the Holy Spirit of God to be the voice of God and many who have walked with Him, for the greater good of the relationship of Jesus Christ, the groom, and His Bride, the Church (redeemed of all time and places). We believe that History is, as well as the story of God’s ineffable beauty, the story of God’s redeemed people constantly reforming and assisting Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, in re-creating the world through the timeless gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore we dream of being a people who knows our Genesis and lives the ever completing of that story!

 

 

 Adventure:

We take great hope and optimism God is restoring all of creation through the sovereign grace of Jesus Christ.  We heartily believe the truth that Christ has in fact already reconciled all things to Himself. Our electrifying calling is to live out this unseen reality today. What the bible calls faith, we value as an adventurous journey. It is a heavenly joy to live the teachings of Jesus Christ while instructing others to acquiesce to the invitation of this adventure.  We deem new creative expressions of faith, consistent with the mind of Christ, to be Christ exalting, and immeasurably valuable. Being that we esteem adventurous faith- change is implicit, innovation is anticipated, and resurgence is embraced.

 

 

 Beauty:

We believe that God is beautiful and to be praised in beautiful expressions.  We are inspired to worship God in ways that are not only biblical, but cultural manifestations of our white-hot ardor for His Glory and Beauty. We desire to worship God in new and fresh musical genres. We dream of a community where artistic visuals, aromatic sensory, and hands-on experience are naturally integrated, stimulating our imagination to meditate on our breathtaking Creator. It is for this reason that all the senses should be incorporated in our gatherings for worship. Life is art-because creation is the overflowing imagination of God exposing the beauty of His being! We aspire to bring forth from our treasures of worship things both old and new, for God exists in and above all times.

 

 

 

Mission:

 

 Some of the most adored words in the entire Bible are:  "God loved the world this way--He gave His only biological (as well as supernatural) Son"... “Consider this, what incredible love the Heavenly Father has given to us, that we should be called the children of God”. God has a mission! His mission has been from the beginning to seek out humans to build a relationship, a community. When the Father sent the Son, it was to seek and to save those who are lost. When God delivers us, He enlists us to join Him in this Mission. God has a sending mission. The Father sent the Son, the Son has sent the Spirit and the Church. This is a holistic endeavor. Mission is all of life. We aspire to be a people pointing the oppressed, the outcasts, the undesirable-the lost to Jesus Christ through a benevolent and hospitable holistic life. This world as we know it is not our final home, but God is renewing it, and our mission is to go to the uttermost parts of the earth inviting all to join this community!
