It’s so cool to live in this area of Florida to meet and minister to the people in the heart of Santa Rosa County. It is my heart's belief, this is home. This is the place to be and live life. The people here are some of the greatest people in the world.

My wife and I (Sam and Samantha Crum) answered God’s calling to church planting several years ago. We moved down to Milton, Florida in the early summer of 2005. It has been an incredible journey establishing a community here. But God has been faithful. We are a small community of 40 or so people who have dedicated themselves to joining God in beautiful friendship and journeying together in life while inviting others to join this ride. Our heart is passionate about reaching younger people (and young at heart) who have become so disdainfully unhappy with the modern (or not so modern) church. Statistics show that at least 85% of the young people growing up in church leave within five years of finishing high school. Although we don’t desire to ascribe blame to any church specifically or even attack a style of worship that is still effectual for many seasoned Christians, younger people and those who have little to no church background are fleeing from churches and Christians as they seek something spiritually authentic. Our heart is to reach out to those who sincerely seek an authentic spiritual experience.

There are many ways to be a part of THE RIVER. There are small groups to be a part of. We eat a community meal together on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings of each month (7 PM). We watch a ton of college football on Saturdays. We eat in our homes together often. We are laboring to meet so many people, but it may take us a while to find you, so please contact us to speed up this privilege for us to meet you. Our worship gatherings are so casual in the ambience, and it is a very welcoming community.
